Amarra Demo Software

Sonic Studio has made demo versions of Amarra available so anybody can try Amarra. The demo is identical to the licensed version. In demo mode Amarra will interject a couple of seconds of silence in random intervals every minute or so. If you need help installing or using Amarra, let us know. We are glad to help. iLok USB Security Dongle

Amarra ships in two versions, one with a traditional software license key and on using the iLok USB Security dongle to hold your Amarra license. The iLok software drivers are installed with Amarra. Without an iLok, Amarra will play in demo mode. When you plug in an Amarra licensed iLok Amarra will start up in licensed mode.

The iLok system has several benefits. Since the license is in the iLok and not the software, you can install and run Amarra on as many machines as you like (the software license version installs on only one machine). All you have to do is plug in the iLok. You can also install, uninstall, or upgrade Amarra as often as you like without entering license numbers or validation.

Amarra MINI: $395 USD

Amarra MINI is Sonic Studios entry into the Amarra product line. The Amarra MINI uses the same technology and sounds identical to the full version. The Amarra MINI:

• Uses Sonic Studios SSE sound engine, the same sound engine used in Sonic's award winning pro audio technology.
• Bypasses iTunes and Apple Core Audio for musical data.
• Automatic sample rate switching.
• Playback of sample rates up to 24 bits/96Khz.
• Dithering of output signal up to 24 bits.
• Supports AIFF and WAV lossless audio formats (with ALAC supported in upcoming releases).

The MINI is $395 USD.

Amarra Full Version: $995

The full version of Amarra includes everything from the MINI as well as many more features:

• Playback of sample rates up to 24 bits/192 Khz.
• Sonic Studios proprietary software volume control.
• Sonic EQ, with Sonics proprietary Minimal phase topology.

Future Releases

Sonic plans on many new features and upgrades to the Amarra product line:

• Additional support for additional file formats. ALAC (Apple Losseless) support will be included in the next release and will be freely upgradable for both MINI and Full owners.
• Offline sample rate conversion utility utilizing the iZotope resampling technology - up to 24bit/192Khz resampling.

Sonic Studios is developing a new product called Amarra Vinyl. Amarra Vinyl is a complete program for home recording that specializes in transcribing your records to digital. Amarra Vinyl will also include Sonics proprietary CD ripping technology for transferring your CD collection to digital. Amarra Vinyl is planned to be released in early 2010.
